It might seem like Loveday 4×4 Adventure Park is in the middle of nowhere it’s actually easily accessible being only 2 hours east of Adelaide and 2 hours west of Mildura, and with a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy, we think it’s well worth a visit.

The privately owned 8,000 acre property covers all sorts of terrain making it perfect for 4×4 driving – obviously – but also, having a 14 kilometre frontage on the banks of the mighty Murray, also a great place for fishing, relaxing, boating and swimming.

With easy access for 2-wheel drives, caravans and cars towing boats it’s no wonder families return to Loveday 4×4 Adventure Park year after year.

Of course it was pretty serious stuff for us up at the Loveday 4×4 Adventure Park. Manufacturers had their vans put through their paces on the Tough Tested track but once they were done, they got the opportunity to get into a rally car for a fast lap around the track.

Ken from Roadstar was first. He was a little anxious but being in the safe hands of Rob, from Loveday 4×4 Adventure Park meant while it was an exhilarating, very fast lap, it was also pretty safe.

All the manufacturers had a lap and were pretty impressed at the speed and agility with which the experts throw the car around the track. It was a real adrenaline pumper.

After everyone had a go in the passenger’s seat it was a confident Matt from Vacationer that put his hand up and got behind steering wheel. The “experts” on the hill were pretty tough with their commentary but all in all Matt had a great time and managed to get around the course unscathed.

Loveday 4×4 Adventure Park can be exactly what you want it to be, an adrenaline filled, action packed blast of a holiday or a relaxing, lazing by the river fishing type holiday. Whatever takes your fancy, it’s worth exploring this fabulous location.

John Willis

We call him Bear, and no it’s not just because he’s so cute and cuddly. Bear was the sort of kid that had a model fishing boat in the bath and a Jeep in the sandpit dreaming of great adventures both at sea and on land. He has been lucky enough to follow those dreams and now shares his stories of success and failure, what works and what doesn’t, how to and how not to, and of course where to go in our great country. Bears philosophy is about the joy we get from the journey – not just the destination.

Whilst originally trained as a boat builder Bear’s life has led down many paths but always drawing back on those primary skills. He has experience in irrigation, agriculture, engineering, landscaping and even once owned a playground equipment manufacturing company along with many years in wholesale and retail boat sales and fishing charters before turning his hand to outdoor media. Bear is a skilled writer and photographer, hosted successful radio shows, and nowadays spends a good deal of time in front of the camera creating reviews and features for print, on-line, TV and custom media.
